The holadeira (Portuguese: "saws"[1]) or sawtooth dolphin was a cryptid dolphin reported from an unknown lake in the Brazilian Amazon Basin by Jeremy Wade in 1993 and 1994.[2]

Wade first saw the animal about 100 feet away from his boat whilst searching for the pink river dolphin. He photographed it and asked the locals about it, but they had never heard of such an animal.[1]

He returned the following year and he met with a man who claimed to have see the animal several weeks ago, and who referred to it as the "holadeira". Wade again saw the animal on this expedition, and after glimpsing its head could confirm that it was a dolphin.[1]

It has been suggested that the animal was a boto dolphin which had been injured by a fishing net or propellor blades, but Wade said the notches appeared to be evenly spaced.[2]
